Learn multiple primitive fire building techniques in this one-day intensive course. By the end of the day you'll understand how and when to use matches, flint and steel, bow drill, and even more specialized methods under any weather conditions!


Class Description


This interactive class will offer a 4 to 5 hour intensive on a range of fire making skills. The content will cover gathering materials, set up, and ignition during various weather conditions. Fire making techniques will include (though will not be limited to) use of matches, flint and steel, and the bow drill. Class size will be limited to 30 participants which will be divided into groups of 5 during hands-on portions. By the end of the class each person will have had ample practice at every element of the course and will leave with a supply of char-cloth of their own making.
